America (LA)

So LA…been here for a few days now. It started with a show at the famous Troubadour. Supported the fantastic Black Moth Super Rainbow and School of Seven Bells. The next day had a show in Costa Mesa at the Detroit Bar. Had a really good night. didn’t sell as many cds as the troubadour show but the crowds reaction to the set was really good.

Then….a day off! We ceased the opportunity to do some touristy things. i.e.. visited the Griffiths Observatory and had about half an hour in the Science Center.

We didn’t go mental that day as I had a very important session the next day…which one I hear you ask….oh just KCRW’s Morning becomes Eclectic with Jason Bentley…yeah that’s right…they’ve had…like…Coldplay, Thom Yorke, Beck…to name a few.

It was ace. everyone was really nice.

Got a flight to Milwaukee tomorrow. Driving to Chicago for a gig at the Shubas Tavern.

(to be continued)

    Hey James,

I caught you on KCRW’s MBE with Jason and really liked you stuff. I called and got one of the 5 signed CDs. Thank you.

I’m one of those plus 50’s you mentioned who likes your work. Why? ::shrug:: I like it.

Would of liked to go to see you at your show in LA, but I had to go to bed! 🙂

I’ll catch you next time you are in town for sure.

    Happy Travels.

    Mitch
